Our Organization
Military Families Speak Out (MFSO) is a growing organization of nearly 3,000 families nationwide who have loved ones in the Military and believe that the war in Iraq is a tragic error.
MFSO was formed by two families in late 2002 as it became evident that the U.S. would invade Iraq. As MFSO grew, it became clear that to achieve our goals, of supporting our member families and working to bring our loved ones home, we would need to focus locally.
MFSO is a recognized 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. We are not political action committee. As an organization, we do not endorse or support political candidates or parties for office.
We work with, and at times endorse actions taken by other peace and social justice organizations providing their activity supports our core mission to bring the troops home now and take care of them when they get here.
We have several chapters in states and regions across the country. MFSO-Chicago was organized in early 2006.

March 2006 MFSO Joined With Chicago's Anti-War Majority For A Week Long Vigil At The Office Of Congressman Rahm Emanual In A Call To Demonstrate Leadership to End The Occupation of Iraq And Bring Our Troops Home - NOW
